Brutal storms which caused deadly flooding across eastern Spain last week have now dumped water on Barcelona, with flash floods submerging the city's main airport and closing motorways.
The country's weather service has issued a red alert for rain along the Barcelona coastline, warning people not to travel 'unless strictly necessary' and to stay alert.
