The five persons accused of importing 400 kilogrammes of substances suspected to be cocaine have been convicted by the Accra High Court.
Judgement has however been deferred to the 7th of January, next year.
This is because the analyst from the Ghana Standards Authority who worked on the substance was unavailable to give evidence.
Also exhibits of the substance were not produced in court.
The prosecutor, Samuel Asiamah Sampong, however explained that the exhibits were unavailable because the officer-in-charge of the Exhibits Room had travelled so the investigator did not have access to the room to bring the exhibit to court.
