The Attorney General and Minister of Justice Marietha Brew Appiah-Opong has assured Parliament of her Ministry’s commitment in pursuing all appropriate legal processes to enforce the judgments secured by the former Attorney-General Martin Amidu involving Isofoton and Waterville holdings.
She said her outfit in July 2013 filled a writ of summons and an accompanying statement for the recovery of forty-seven million, three hundred and sixty-five thousand Euros secured in the Waterville holdings case.
Mrs. Appiah-Opong told the House that her office is also in court for the recovery of 325,572 US Dollars from Isofoton holdings.
The Attorney-General gave the assurance when she appeared before Parliament to answer questions which stood in the name of the MP for Bekwai, Joseph Osei-Owusu on steps her Ministry is taking to enforce the judgment obtained by Mr. Martin Amidu.
When asked about strategies to retrieve the money she said it will be inappropriate to disclose the Ministry's tactics in public.
She also spoke about what the Ministry has done in respect of the Isofoton judgment money recovery.
