The Ejisu police have arrested a man for allegedly threatening to kill a neighbour.
An unlicensed pistol and seven BB cartridges were retrieved from the room of the suspect, Yaw Boadu alias Abosi.
Briefing the media in Kumasi, the Deputy Ashanti Regional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Mr Osei Ampofo Duku, said at about 9:30p.m., on May 10, this year, the police had information that someone had fired two gunshots at Akyawkrom near Ejisu without any reason.
And on Wednesday, he said, the suspect was arrested.
When his room was searched, the weapon was discovered in a sound system.
Mr Duku said the shots that were fired earlier were probably warning shots to scare Kwadwo Yeboah, a neighbour of the suspect.
According to the police, investigations are ongoing, after which the suspect would be charged and arraigned for illegal possession of firearm without authority and threatening the life of a neighbour.
