Police in Nsawam have arrested Kwame Alibo, a 32-year-old unemployed of Oparekrom, a suburb of Nsawam for allegedly stabbing his uncle, Sampson Kumi, to death.
The suspect is assisting the Police in their investigations.
Briefing the Ghana News Agency, Superintendent Marian Osei-Adu Owusu, Nsawam District Police Commander said the incident was reported to the Police by other members of the family.
She said a misunderstanding had ensued between the two family members of which the suspect stabbed the victim with a knife in the chest and the left rib.
She said the victim died while being conveyed to the Nsawam Government Hospital.
Supt Owusu said the suspect was arrested by the police at his hideout, whilst the body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Police Hospital mortuary in Accra for autopsy.
She said after the completion of the investigations the suspect would be arraigned if need be.
