MP Donates Sporting Kits To Schools

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ejisu-Juaben, Mr Kwabena Owusu-Aduomi has presented sporting and educational materials worth GH20,000 to the Ejisu-Juaben Municipal Directorate of Education for distribution to schools in the area.

The items include 49 sets of football jerseys, 19 footballs and 216 mathematical sets.

Mr Owusu-Aduomi said the donation of the items was his contribution towards sports promotion and improvement of the standard of education in the Constituency.

He urged teachers to attach importance to physical education so as to help keep the pupils and students healthy and to also unearth sports talents at the youth level.

Mrs Agnes Okyere-Gyamfi, Municipal Director of Education who received the items on behalf of the schools said they were grateful to the MP for the support and pledged to ensure that they are strictly used for the intended purpose.

She said it was the Education directorate's determination to encourage and ensure that extra efforts are put in place to help the students' develop their sporting and educational skills.
