Mr Kofi Bimpong, Obuasi Municipal Director of Education, has asked teachers to work hard to ensure the success of government's agenda for providing quality education.
He said the call to teach "is divine", and the role of the teacher is to help mould God's creation.
Mr Binpong was speaking to teachers of the Obuasi East Educational Circuit at forum on the theme: "Know your Director", at Obuasi.
He reminded them that government's policy on illegal collection of fees from school children was still in force and stressed that "all forms of levies have been abolished in government public schools".
Mr Binpong cautioned school authorities against hiding behind Parent-Teacher Associations and School Management Committees to charge illegal fees.
During an open forum, participants complained about inadequate classroom furniture.
