GETFund contractors have threatened to stage a demonstration in the coming days over what they call the deceitful posture of the Education Ministry towards them.
They claim cheques issued in payment of works done for GETFund bounced when they contacted their bankers.
They are blaming the development on the education minister and say they will petition President Mills to remove the minister from office immediately.
The contractors had agitated several times over delay in paying them but culled their agitations when cheques were issued to them for payment a couple of weeks ago.
One of the contractors, Philemon Addy speaking to XYZ News said it was a deliberate move by the Ministry to issue them those cheques.
We are arranging a demonstration; we are going to demonstrate against this minister for his removal and we would petition the President.
Meanwhile, the Education Minister Ambassador Lee Ocran has refused to comment on the issue when contacted by XYZ News.
The education ministry and GETFund appear to be on some sought of war path after GETfund officials complained about the divergence of GETfund money towards other projects.
The PRO of GETFund, Solomon Baffoe in an interview with XYZ News, said his outfit is aware of the bouncing of the cheaques issued to the contractors but said efforts are being made to secure funds for them.
