Matilda Amissah- Arthur Charges Students To Commit To Right Behavior

The Second Lady, Mrs. Matilda Amissah-Arthur, has charged student in the country to make sure they do the right things in society by being obedient and committing themselves by putting up the right behaviors as a lifetime ,because such commitments and charters has very good rewards.

 She was speaking at the launch of three booklets, in Labone Senior High School, The first booklet, the Right Thing to Do! Courtesy and Etiquette, authored by Mrs. Paulina kumah ,the second booklet ,The Sonlife Guide to Energy  Conservation  by Sonlife press ,while the third booklet, Rain Water harvesting is authored by Desmond  Ansa –Asare in Accra.

Mrs. Amissah Arthur took the opportunity as a professional librarian to engage and interact with the students on the topic what a right behaviors is and also advised them to be good citizens who also know the wrongs of society. She further stated that money is not everything because money cannot buy trust of any one, as trust is as a result of confidence in the person’s right behavior.

Touching on the topic of integrity, which three students were able to provide the right responses that were impressive, she promised the three winners three laptops and also took the occasion to commend the headmistress of the school for the good manners and orderliness of the students.

On her part Mrs. Paulina Kumah the author the Right Thing to Do!, said she was most grateful to the Second Lady  who  took herself and two others under her tutelage when they entered the Mfanstiman school forty years ago. Adding that the books were mentoring materials for students in the country, she also added that the materials were also geared towards the entrepreneurial development of SHS students in the country. 

Present at the launch were the Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Tertiary Education and doubles as a Legislator representing the good people of North Tongu in the Volta Region in Ghana’s Parliament and Very Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Kormla Gbordzoe, the immediate past Moderator of the Global Evangelical Church.
