The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) has commended the President and flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo for his tuition-free tertiary education promise in 2021.
According to NUGS, they are satisfied with the new policy announced by the Scholarship Secretariat today, Tuesday, 1 December 2020
NUGS commendation follows a new policy announced by the Scholarship Secretariat today December 1 to provide free tuition to eligible students in private and public tertiary institutions.
It in a statement copied to Peacefmonline.com stated that; “NUGS further notes that this new policy adds to a policy previously rolled out by the government which permits applicants for student loans at the tertiary level with no guarantor”.
“NUGS is satisfied, confident and recognise that in terms of Education, the NPP government has consistently rolled out policies which are well informed and well-implemented," portion of the statement read.
