Teaching and learning came to a standstill as the over 600 students and their teachers rushed out to welcome their New school Bus.
To the teachers, this was unbelievable as never in their lives have they witnessed a politician so honest and sincere as Hon. ken Ofori-Atta. “He promised to deliver a Bus to us by Tuesday December 1, 2020 and he actually delivered on Monday Novermber 30, 2020” says one of the heads of department of the school.
Since last week the finance minister has been canvassing for votes across the country for President Akufo-Addo and one of these visits took him to the upper Manya constituency where he visited the Asesewa SHS.
Interacting with staff and students of the school, it came out clearly that, one of the critical needs of the school was a bus to help with mobility of the students and staff.
The finance minister in his remarks to the students and staff, promised to make a donation of a bus to them the in a week and true to his words, the bus was delivered a day before the promised day.
Receiving the vehicle, the head of the school was short of words and only expressed gratitude to the finance minister as the school has been hoping to get a new bus for years.
Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta has been on tour in the eastern and Upper West Regions where he has been engaging communities and opinion leaders as well as energizing the base of the party to step up the campaign in these last days to December 7th.
He encouraged them to work hard as much as they can, but always remember that, the “Battle is still the Lords”
