The Ministry of Education says 2021/2022 Computerized School Selection and Placement System into Senior High Schools and Technical and Vocational Education and Training Institutes, will be accessible on Saturday, March 26, 2022.

The Ministry in a press release said out of the total number of 571,892 registered candidates, 555,353 candidates qualified to be placed.

The statement noted that a total of 367,811 candidates have automatically been placed in one of their choices,  adding that, 187,542 qualified candidates would have to do self-placement to select from available schools since they could not be matched with any of their choices.

According to the Ministry, candidates could access the placement platform by obtaining a placement pin code from an approved vendor and logging onto the site www.espn.gov.ph.

They would then enter their ten-digit index number and add 21 as the year of completion.

The statement added that they would click on submit and wait for placement to be displayed.

Then, print the form if you have been placed and visit the school to begin the admission process.

Self Placement Module

The statement indicated that if a candidate was not matched with any of their choices from the automatic placement system, they would be redirected to the self-placement portal.

It added that a qualified candidate would then be required to select a school by providing region, residential preference, school and programme of choice.

According to the statement, schools selected on the self-placement portal could be changed as many times as the candidate wishes until they enrolled in a school.

“All schools with vacancies have been uploaded on the portal, to enable students to select from during self-placement,” it added.

A call Centre with a toll-free number, 0302987654 had been set up to address related concerns from the public.

A total of 572,167 candidates made up of 287,730 males and 284,437 females sat for the 2021 BECE examination.
