As the people of Togo go to the polls on Thursday, the authorities have decided to close the country�s borders from midnight of 3rd to the 5th of this month.
This directive will however not affect its Airports and Harbour which will remain open.
Drinking spots and other entertainment centers will also be closed to the public from 6 am to 8pm on the day of the election.
A Communiqu� issued by Togo�s Ministry of Security said these arrangements are geared towards ensuring an incident-free election.
