According to a study conducted by the World Health Organisation, patients in the African sub region and the East Mediterarian stand a higher risk of suffering injuries and health complications at health centres.
Speaking at the 10th anniversary conference of the NHIS a WHO official Dr. Shams Syed charged managers of the Scheme to ensure that service providers under the Scheme prioritise patient safety.
