The Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi in the Western Region is unable to use elevators, it spent fifty-two thousand Ghana cedis to renovate recently due to
Power fluctuations.
Patients seeking medical attention at the hospital are compelled to climb the five storey facility in pain or fall on hospital labourers to carry them up to the surgical or maternity ward.
According to the Senior Health Service Administrator, Habib Ganiyu, the hospital needs one hundred and seven thousand Ghana cedis to purchase voltage stabilisers for the two lifts at the facility.
