In line with his overwhelming determination to help his constituents to access better healthcare in order to help in the accelerated development of Effutu, Honourable Afenyo-Markin has embarked on an expansion work on the surgical block at the Winneba Municipal Hospital.
Checks from the hospital indicate that work on the block is 80% complete and it is expected that within a few weeks, the block will be ready for utilization.
The facility, when completed, will have an enhanced capacity with state-of-the-art surgical equipment for effective health delivery.
This project, upon completion, would ease the pressure mounted on the Winneba Trauma Hospital which has been hosting many patients for their surgical needs.
The Member of Parliament, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, a few days ago, donated PPEs to many of the health centres in the Municipality.
The donations are aimed at helping the frontline workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic.
