The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) says Bernice Alcohol-based hand sanitizer is safe for use and that it does not contain acid.
The FDA in a statement signed by its Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Delese A. A. Darko today [Sunday, August 2, 2020], said it has seen a viral video of a hand sanitizer purported to contain acid and bearing the brand name Bernice Alcohol-Based Hand Sanitizer.
That, the FDA says, having seen the viral video, the authority dispatched its market surveillance team to gather samples of the said brand from various locations.
According to the FDA, samples of the Bernice Alcohol-Based Hand Sanitizer were tested and found to be compliant with the test parameters for sanitizers."
