The number of COVID-19 cases being recorded in the country is on the ascendancy again according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, Director General of GHS speaking in an interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' said majority of the cases are from the Greater Accra Region.
"The current active cases are around 300 and are mostly from schools and workplaces..." he indicated.
He said even though nose mask-wearing is no longer mandatory, it is important to maskup in schools and workplaces. Apart from that social distancing and handwashing is still important.
Meanwhile, he has debunked reports that the rise in cases is due to a new strain.
