Once again another government official, the Minister of Information, Hon. Zita Okaikoi has revealed that she admires Peace FM a lot and prefers it to other radio stations in the country when it comes to news in Akan. This is the latest in the string of accolades Peace FM has received from high profile government officials.

Hon. Okaikoi expressed these sentiments at a thanksgiving service attended by Peace FM at the Word Miracle Church International to crown its 10years anniversary celebration. According to her, Peace FM, has always upheld the noble tradition of presenting well-balanced and accurate information understandable to every Ghanaian. She stated, “No matter who you are and where you are, Peace FM always does its best to deliver information to you. You (Peace FM) are really doing well and therefore need to be commended.” She urged the staff of the station not to rest on their oars but to strive toward perfection, working hard for mother Ghana and promised that government will always be behind the Station to support it in its good work.
Other feathers in the station's cap have also come from the presidency itself, Vice President John Mahama and ex-president J.A. Kufour.

In a related development, the station on Sunday, July 12th 2009 crowned its 10 years anniversary celebration activities with a thanksgiving service at the Word Miracle Church International, Djorwulu, Accra. Present at the Service were high profile dignitaries like the Minister of Information, Hon. Zita Okaikoi and Mr. Osei Kwame Despite, CEO of Despite Group Of Companies.

Also in attendance were the management, staff, friends and well-wishers of Peace FM who, as always, thronged the church in their numbers. In appreciation of God's guidance and blessings over the past ten years, Peace FM made a thanksgiving offering of GH˘5,000 (˘50 million) to the church. The General Overseer of the church, Bishop Charles Agyin Asare, who delivered the main sermon thanked Peace FM and praised the Station for a great job done over the last ten years since it burst onto the scene. “Indeed you’re the best station, not only for your professional way of disseminating information, but also your support to the needy,” Bishop Agyin Asare added.

The Bishop observed that, since its inception Peace FM has endeared itself to both its patrons and the whole nation at large with its accurate reportage and well-balanced information needed to restructure human life, and urged the station to keep it up. “May you help us keep this nation on track,” he prayed.

In her short message of appreciation for the worthy contribution Peace FM has made over the last decade towards the national effort at building a vibrant democracy, the Minister of Information, Hon. Zita Okaikai declared, “I admire Peace FM a lot. There is no doubt that it is the best.” She observed that Peace FM played an important role to ensure the success of the 2008 elections. She said it therefore comes as no surprise that the Station now commands a lot of respect from the Information Ministry and the government as a whole.
