Government has declared Friday, December 25, Christmas Day as a statutory public holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.
The declaration was made in a statement issued in Accra on Monday by Mr Cletus Avoka, Minister of the Interior.
It said in view of the fact that December 26, Boxing Day falls on a Saturday, President John Evans Atta Mills has by Executive Instrument declared Monday, December 28, a public holiday and should be observed as such.
