Some unidentified men have smeared the offices of the Electoral Commission at Bimbilla in the Northern region of Ghana with human excreta.
A freelance journalist, Mohammed Amino, told Citi News the incident happened this dawn creating a lot of discomfort before the start of work on Monday at the EC offices.
Amino said he believes the perpetrators might be aggrieved applicants for polling assistants or registration officers whose names did not appear after a recruitment examination.
The report alleged that the perpetrators used the fecal matter to scribble “Agyekum all die be die” on the walls of the commission's offices.
Citi News has learnt the police are investigating the issue and no one has been apprehended yet or has claimed responsibility for the nefarious act.
