The late President John Evans Atta Mills Funeral Planning Committee closed the Banquet Hall of the State House to public viewing at 1900 on the first day of his three-day State mourning.
Some of the mourners who had formed an unending queue several metres from the Banquet Hall, had to leave the State House disappointed, but some stayed over to participate in the night vigil in honour of the late President Mills.
The Banquet Hall would however, be opened at 0800 hours on Thursday, August 9, the second day for the state mourning for public viewing to commence.
