President Michel Sleiman of Lebanon on Sunday awarded two retired Ghanaian military officers for their tremendous contribution towards the maintenance of peace in Lebanon and the entire Middle East.
The officers are Lieutenant General Seth Obeng and General Emmanuel Erskine who were instrumental in peacekeeping during the Middle East crises.
President Sleiman, as part of his two-day official visit to Ghana, also visited the Kwame Nkrumah Museleum and the "Asomdwee Park" where he laid wreaths on the tombs of former President Kwame Nkrumah and former President John Evans Atta Mills respectively.
He previously held bilateral discussions with President John Dramani Mahama and signed some framework agreement with Ghana for the next three years.
President Sleiman and his 86-member delegation are expected to fly back to Lebanon at 1400 hours GMT from the Kotoka International Airport.
