President John Dramani Mahama has returned from Abuja, Nigeria, where he joined other members of the Authority of heads of state and government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) for the 43rd Ordinary Session.
President Mahama was scheduled to return on Friday, July 19, 2013.
The Session - which ended on Thursday - considered a number of issues, chief among which were the 2013 Interim Report of the President of the ECOWAS Commission and reports on the situation in Mali.
It also reviewed the situation in Guinea Bissau and the status of the ECOWAS security mission in that country.
