Israeli Water Technologies Seminar To Be Held In Accra

The Embassy of Israel has opened registration for its first water technologies seminar to be held in Accra on September 10.

The seminar dubbed “Israeli Water Technologies Seminar – a sneak peek to Water Technology and Environment Control Exhibition(WATEC) 2013”, will introduce representatives of leading Israeli water technologies companies and top Israeli researchers to provide an insight into Israel’s efficient and innovative water technologies.

A statement from the Embassy and in Accra said the seminar will bring together Ghanaian private and public sectors and non-governmental organisations to interact and network with their Israeli counterparts.

It said the seminar will also offer a preview of WATEC Israel 2013, a high profile International WATEC and conference to be held in Israel in October 22-24, 2013.

The statement said, Ms Sharon Bar-li, Israel’s Ambassador in Ghana, said that WATEC Israel 2013 will focus on urban water and water for industry with topics on high relevancy to Ghana in sewage and sanitation systems, supply of potable water, agro-processing industry and the upcoming oil and gas industries.

She appealed to Ghanaian professionals from relevant sectors in both public and private to attend the seminar adding that the WATEC Conference in 2011 hosted 27,000 visitors from all over the world.

“The Israeli Water Technologies Seminar in Accra is another expression of the Israeli spirit and tradition of sharing knowledge. We expect it to create new opportunities between both business to business and business to government” she said.

Israel is an internationally recognized water solutions hub, having benefited from many years of experience in managing scarce water resources. Israel is considered a world expert in desalination, water treatment and reclamation, water safety, and agricultural water consumption via drip irrigation – a unique Israeli innovation.
