A memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Ghana and Korea to implement the Akumadan Tomato Expansion Irrigation Project with a grant aid of 2.2 million dollars from the Korean government.
The project seeks to improve livelihoods of people in the Akumadan Community by increasing agriculture productivity through improving and Expanding Irrigation facilities for all year round tomato and pepper production.
Speaking at a workshop on the project in Accra, Minister of Food and Agriculture, Clement Kofi Humado, said the project is laudable and will require efforts of farmers, district Assemblies and the private sector to achieve success.
