Superintendent Ethernim Kwarteng, the Atwima Mponua District Police Commander, has advised police personnel in the district to remain politically non-partisan to earn respect in their areas of operation.
He was giving his maiden address at Nyinahin, after taking over from Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ernest Fosu, who is on transfer to Cape Coast in the Central Region.
Superintendent Kwarteng admonished them not to entertain civil cases or collect bribes before granting bail to stay out of trouble.
The Commander appealed to the men and women of the Ghana Police Service to work harder than the previous year, to gain the public’s respect and trust.
He advised them to refrain from drunkenness, smoking, backbiting, hatred and petty gossiping.
Superintendent Kwarteng called for unity among the personnel to promote effective work.
