Japan has again showed strong commitments towards assisting the West Africa sub-region in the area of infrastructure development.
Japans Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, gave the assurance when he met John Mahama and other ECOWAS Heads of State in Abidjan, Cote D�Ivoire in a summit meeting.
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, noted that Japan recognizes West Africa as a dynamic community with the potential to develop.
The leaders are also expected to discuss support for the Abidjan- Lagos rail line project which was tabled at the June 2013 Fifth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD V) in Japan.
Mr Abe�s meeting with regional body is a follow up to the fifth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD V) held in Yokohama Japan last June.
Mr. Abe is accompanied by a large delegation of businessmen and industry players.
