The chief of Koforidua — Effiduase, Okoawia Dwomo Baabu II, has disclosed that the traditional authority will not hesitate to ban fake pastors and prophets from the area if found to be indulging in nefarious activities, including performing deliverance through sexual intercourse.
He said this when the leader and founder of Jesus Kingdom Power Ministries, Prophet Paul Kwame Nkrumah and some of his church leadership joined the chief to celebrate the Akwasidae festival at his palace.
According to the Effiduasehene, the conduct of some men of God these days leaves a lot to be desired.
He cited situations where some pastors are reported to have performed deliverance through sexual intercourse with married women, pastors in scandal among others as bad behaviors men of God should desist from.
Okoawia Dwomo Baabu said the traditional council will ensure that it liaises with the appropriate authorities to weed out such men of God from his land to help maintain the good image of the town.
He defused the notion that chieftaincy is idol worshiping adding that, most chiefs are dedicated Christians and exhibit the fear of the Lord in their endeavors.
He commended Prophet Paul Kwame Nkrumah and the leadership of the church for paying homage to the traditional council which according to him is a good sign of the church’s commitment to patterning the traditional authority to ensure development.
Prophet Nkrumah, in his speech said the church believes in culture and respect of traditional authorities, hence the visit. He pledged the church’s readiness to collaborate with the traditional authorities to raise the living standard of the people.
He hinted that the church is at the verge of securing a vast land to build a center where the poor and the needy both in the church and society will be taken care of from the proceeds of tithes accrued in the church.
Prophet Nkrumah explained that many pastors are robbing God since the biblical intended purpose of tithing is being defied by some selfish property grabbing men of God.
Tithing is never in the mind of God as an avenue to raise money, acquire property or to put food on the table for ministers. Tithe payment must flow from one’s heart voluntarily in appreciation and acknowledgement of God not that one is coerced or compelled to do so.”
He said the poor and needy must be the major beneficiaries of tithe proceeds.
He said “spending the tithe” is just like robbing God.
