President Mahama says Africa's liberation is underpinned by self-sufficiency.
As such Africans must play leading roles and not burden themselves with the structural economy that was bequeathed to them by their colonial masters.
In the view of President Mahama, it is this type of economy that continues to promote the consumption of imported goods and the exportation of non-value added products.
The President said this when he delivered a lecture at the London School of Economics.
