NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Tema Central, Hon Kofi Brako’s residence has been gutted by fire destroying some properties worth millions of cedis.
The fire according to sources started around 12noon Thursday, when Mr. Brako was believed to be at parliament.
Fire personnel who rushed to the scene were able to bring the fire under control but almost all properties of the NPP MP have burnt to ashes including: cars, wheelchairs, bicycles and other personal belongings.
Peace FM’s Tema correspondent, Ohene Amponsah reported that, the cause of the fire is not known yet but investigations are ongoing.
He however said, “An eyewitness claims he saw a motor rider packed in front of the MP’s house but moment after he [the motor rider] left the place, the house started burning”.
Meanwhile the cause of the fire is still unknown says the Tema Regional Fire Service.
However, the police has vowed to investigate to the bottom of the case.
No life was lost.
