Wing Commander Francis Kabenla Anaman (Rtd), Member of Parliament for Jomoro, has presented a cheque for 2,000 Ghana cedis for the painting of the Half Assini Catholic Church.
Mr George William Somiah, Executive Member of the Jomoro Constituency branch of the National Democratic Congress, who presented the cheque on behalf of the MP, said it was in fulfillment of the MPs promise to the church during the 2012 electioneering.
Reverend Father John Agovi Effeh, Catholic Priest of Half-Assini, who received the cheque, commended the MP for honouring his promise.
He said the gesture would go a long way to enhance the image of the church.
The church, built over a century ago, has for the first time been re-roofed on Christmas Eve at the cost of 35,000 Ghana cedis.
