Ace undercover investigator, Anas Aremeyaw Anas can now go ahead and show the video in which some judges are said to have been implicated in a bribery scandal.
This followed the withdrawal of the application for injunction against Anas by Justice Paul Uuter Dery.
Counsel for Justice Paul Uuter Dery, one of the High Court judges caught on video allegedly receiving bribe, had, within a week, filed three separate applications all aimed at stopping Anas from airing the video showing his client and 33 other judges and magistrates taking bribes to compromise cases before them.
But according to Graphic Online’s court reporter Mabel Aku Baneseh, counsel for Justice Dery withdrew the injunction application on Tuesday morning.
The premiere is scheduled for 4pm and 8pm respectively on Tuesday September 22 and Wednesday September 23. This means that nothing is currently blocking the premiere from going ahead.
According to our reporter the application has been struck out following the withdrawal.
Meanwhile the application for injunction against the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) seeking to restrain it from using its premises for the premiere is still pending and would be heard on Tuesday October 13, 2015.
