PERHAPS his parents didn't realise the way it would sound to western ears.
A man called Phuc Dat Bich has become a viral sensation after he posted his passport profile on Facebook.
But although you may laugh, there's a serious side to Phuc's moniker.
The poor chap has had his Facebook page shut down three times because the social media giant thought his name was a profanity.
The 23-year-old Australian, of Vietnamese origin, posted the passport to Facebook after getting frustrated.
He said: “I’ve been accused of using a false and misleading name of which I find very offensive. Is it because I’m Asian? Is it?”
The name should actually be pronounced Phoop Dook Bic and is quite common in Vietnam.
