A Police Constable has reportedly been shot dead by highway armed robbers.
The Police Constable, named Kuro Frank, met his untimely death Tuesday morning at around 6:30 am when the robbers attacked a vehicle with registration number AW-797-11 on the Kwame Danso - Atebubu road.
According to Peace FM's Correspondent Kwabena Manu, the robbers fired gun shots at the 30-year-old Police Constable when they found out he was escorting the passengers in the vehicle.
The robbers in the exchange shot him dead.
The Atebubu Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Joseph Dzineku has however confirmed the report in an interview with Peace FM Midday News bulletin.
