Ahead of the inauguration service to be held on Saturday, January 7, 2016, Zoomlion Ghana Limited is embarking on an exercise to get communities within Accra and Tema clean.
The Public Relations Officer for the company, Mr. Robert Coleman in an interview with Peacefmonline.com noted that as part of their CSR, they have mapped out plans for the major cities to look cleaner than it has been before.
As part of this, workers have been dispatched to desilt drains, weed and paint kerbs along roadsides. The national colours of Ghana have also been used to decorate traffic lights and tress along the streets.
Out of the personnel deployed to work across the major cities, some have been moved to the the Independence Square to clean the place for the inauguration of the President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Work is proceeding earnestly at places such as the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange, the Kaneshie Market Complex, the Tema Station, the Graphic Road, Kawukudi and Kanda high streets, and other principal streets of Accra.
