The Akuapem Adontenhene who is also the Akuapem Aburi hene, Otubuor Gyan Kwasi has been accused of assaulting a sub-chief Nana Osei Ntifu l, the Dwantoahene of Aburi Atwiasin over a parcel of land.

The incident, according to information gathered occurred after Oyokoe family of Atwinsa won a court case involving over 15000 acres of land behind the peduase Lodge.

The said case was between the Oyokoe family and the Tashie Nungua people when it was taken to the Koforidua High Court l to determine the rightful owners of the land.

But, the Oyokoe family members who were declared owners of the land discovered that some persons have stated encroaching the land, selling it to some individuals.

In taking steps to protect their property, the Oyokoe family delegated the Dwantoahene Nana Osaei to construct a wall round the land.

Narrating his ordeal, Nana Osaei said, on last Friday morning, he contracted some workers to put up the fence and gate whilst he was away in Accra.

On his return, he got to the site to inspect work done, although it was late.

"When I got there I saw some cars coming there. When I saw the Aburhene Otubour Gyan Kwasiw ho disguised himself with some thugs I decided to draw closer to him," he narrated.

He said, before he could open his month, he received three heft slaps from Nana Otubour which made him flat on the ground.

He also pointed out that, Nana Otubour Gyan Kwasi then ordered his thugs to manhandle him but it took the intervention of the Aburi Mbrantehene to save him from the thugs.

The thugs, he claimed, took away his $5000 and 2,8800.00 Ghana cedis which was in his bag.

According to him he traveled to Accra to change some money into United States Dollars because he was travelling back to the United States in a week's time.

All efforts to get Aburihene to confirm or deny the allegations proved futile as at the office going to press.
