The late Capt. Maxwell Mahama of the 5th Infantry Battalion (5BN), who was murdered by a mob of Denkyira Boase in the Central Region, was alleged by the residents to be an armed robber and lynched on the spot.
This has raised controversies in the general public and the country at large.
Father of the deceased, Capt. Rtd. Dennis Mahama Adam has disclosed that his son was no stranger to the residents and not new to the jogging route.
According to him, the late son had been jogging on the route of the locality since he was stationed and usually does it to keep his health and body in shape.
He further touted the late Capt. Maxwell Mahama as his "personal advisor", ambitious and a brilliant person who always provided counsel to him.
Listen to the interview he granted Peace FM on the Midday news bulletin by Kwame Amo.

I AM IN MY OFFICE, I CAN'T EVEN READ OR LISTEN TO THE STORY.. IS IT REAL OH LORD SAVE THE NATION FROM THIS. I HAVE BEEN A VICTIM BEFORE. MY DEEPLY CONDOLENCE TO THE ENTIRE FAMILY. GOD SAVE MOTHER GHANA . AMEN.........
the people in that community are very wicked and you have no idea how they are going to suffer. They should go and read bible what happened to Cain after he killed his brother Abel. Captain Mahama's blood is crying for vengeance.
THE truth is that ghanaians has lost confidence and trust in ghana judicial and police, SO that's why they put the laws in their hands. THIS is the time for the government to wake up to fix that mistrust in ghana.A LOT of ghanaians has lost their live but no judgement no justice has seen, EX PRES. MILLS, YAANAA,J.B DANQUAH, bob OKALA and many MORE. NO RULING
"Major" Maxwell Mahama May the good Lord who changeth not Abide with you Rest in Peace comrade.
I am just so shattered!...God comfort you and the entire family in such a trying moment!
SO SO SAD. RIP CAPTAIN MAHAMA
Why should human being be killed like snake?, this is grossly barbaric act and inhuman. Those perpetrators must be brought to book and severally punish to serve as deterrent to all those violent minded people in this country.
they must die too
the must be a law to kill those who intentionally kill and I think this can only be the best remedy to reduce murder case in Ghana. (oh aden)
