Ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has urged his ‘supporters’ to stop attacking critics of his works.

Speaking at the 2018 Jamboree organized by old students of the only male hall in the University of Ghana, popularly known as Vandals, Anas said he does not believe in attacking persons who do not agree with his style of journalism and would not want any of his supporters to do so.

The world acclaimed investigative journalist has come under a barrage of criticisms following the release of his expose on football, Number12.

The Chief critic of his work has been Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Ohene Agyapong and the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of former Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi, Martin Luther Obeng.

The Law Maker as part of efforts to unmasking the man who always covers his face when appearing in public release pictures he claimed to be Anas and went further to show a 45-minute documentary, ‘Who watches the watchman’ which purports to show the other side of the celebrated journalist.

Anas came under serious attacks after the airing of ‘Who watches the watchman’. But he still thinks attacking Ken Agyapong and other critics is not the way to go.

“For any of you who will sit down and want to hurt or insult any of the accusers, I don’t agree with you. As a people if we want to grow this country, we need to allow people to freely express themselves…it doesn’t matter whether I am referred to as murderer, let them talk…,” he said.
