The CEO of Community hospital group Mr Akwasi Akwah has advised the people of Akyem Aboabo that, they can’t continue to wait for the government to come to their aid, they should start doing something for themselves so that the government can support them.
He said this when the Community Hospital Group and Doctors Act did a joint programme to do beads training for women in Akyem Aboabo.
Speaking to the women of Aboabo he continued to advise them not to go and sleep as they’ve come for the training they should make very good use of it so that they can support their family in the near future.
The founder of Doctors Act, Dr Ofosu Hene Debrah also said that, he will "appeal to the government to set up beads factory so that we can produce our own beads here in Ghana because all the beads we are using are from China and other countries so the government should do something about it".
The Women in Akyem Aboabo also appealed to the government to support them financially so that they can start the beads business on a large scale to support their family.
The women said that, the "beads making is helping them since they started using it as their business because they were jobless and learning beads making is saving their family from sleeping on an empty stomach."
