The 2016 flagbearer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Ivor Greenstreet has been adjudged ‘man of courage at the just ended EMY Awards 2018 held in Ghana.
His selection was based on the fact that he was the first person with a physical challenge to dare run for the highest office in the country.
The citation which was presented by former boxing legend, Azumah Nelson, read: For his relentless activism of human rights as well as for the enhancement of the opportunities of the youth. He was the 2016 presidential candidate of the Convention People’s Party and served the Disability Council from 2007 to 2009. He embodies the dictum, ‘disability is not inability.’
