A delegation of Members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Parliament of Ghana are currently visiting Ghana's Embassy in Nairobi Kenya to learn about the current state of facilities at the mission .
Hon Frank Annoh - Dompreh Chairman of the Committee who led the delegation to the embassy said land acquired for over 20 years for the mission in Kenya has not been developed hence the mission is renting its current office space .
Hon Annoh- Dompreh said the government of President Akuffo Addo is taking serious steps to construct a permanent building on the land for the country's embassy.
"I urge the country's ambassadors across the world especially in Africa to work hard to promote trade between Ghana and the countries to which they have been sent to represent Ghana " said the chairman of the committee.
" The missions serve as the country's image and must therefore be given much attention in terms of resources to enable them function effectively ", Hon Annoh- Dompreh stated
He noted that past governments of the country have not given the country's missions much attention by adequately resourcing them .
"The committee has already paid similar visits to the country's missions in Asia, Europe, America and other African countries and will soon submit its report to Parliament " Hon Annoh- Dompreh stated .
