Some residents of the Adenta Municipality have started agitating; warning authorities that they will hit the streets if their roads are not fixed.
A group calling themselves 'fix the Botwe roads now movement', says they are tired of complaining about the same over and over again and so they demonstrate if nothing is done.
Bianca Bentil, a member of the group in an interview on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo' described their road as an 'Oware' (a game); adding 'you move from one hole to the other'.
According to her, even though they have heard reports that the construction of the road has been awarded to a Contractor, no work has started.
Responding to this on the same platform, the Member of Parliament for the Adentan constituency said the contract has indeed been awarded to a Contractor, but does not understand the slow pace.
"I am sure he is listening and will follow up to start work immediately . . . but I understand their plight and I assure them that very soon, their problems will be a thing of the past. I will not disappoint them," he assured.
