Member of Parliament [MP] for Juaboso constituency in the Western Region, Hon. Kwabena Mintah-Akando, believes the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah would have been on point if she had interchanged the recent press conference held to a meeting with the family of the kidnapped girls only.

As a panel member on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ discussion segment, the former Deputy Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing said families of the missing girls are currently worried and in pain due to the press conference held by DCOP Tiwaa a couple of weeks ago.

“DCOP Tiwaa has worsened the case for not channeling whatever message she had to the intermediary officer to disclose to family members than leaving the family uninformed about the new development on their missing girls, than to hold a press conference to that effect, claiming now that some of the information cannot be released to families due to security reasons,” Hon. Mintah-Akando lamented.

Commenting on the EC’s decision to hold its limited registration exercise at district levels of which the NDC is not in line with, he stressed that the EC boss should know that she was elected to that high office to serve the whole nation.

“Madam Jean Mensa should know that she is a neutral person now and must act as such. She must be measured in her speech and not act in favour of the NPP simply because she was elected by the current government,” he added.
