The Founder and Leader of Glorious Word and Power Ministeries International, Rev. Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah, has strongly refuted reports that he once claimed to have knowledge of the whereabouts of the three kidnapped Taadi Girls.
According to him, the said reports are false, adding what he stated was that in such scenarios only prayers can help locate the whereabouts of the missing girls.
Speaking on Okay Fm's "Ade Akye Abia" Programme, Rev Owusu Bempah could not fathom why some members of the public will want to take him on for only seeking to proffer solution as a man of God.
"Is it that a man of God cannot speak his mind on an issue in this country anymore? Mr Ofosu Ampofo commented on the kidnapping but is walking about freely, and you now want to vent your anger on me?" he rhetorically asked.
The controversial prophet had earlier been reported to have knowledge of where the kidnapped girls are being kept, but will only disclose their location if the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo calls on him to do so.
But in a shocking volte-face on Monday in an interview with Kwame Nkrumah Tikesie, he claims his comments were taken out of context and misrepresented.
Missing Since 2018
The girls are 18-year-old Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, last seen on December 21, 2018; 21-year-old Priscilla Blessing Bentum, last seen on August 17, 2018; and 18-year-old Ruth Love Quayson, last seen on December 4, 2018.
The whereabouts of the three young girls are yet to be known.
The man suspected to be behind the kidnappings, Samuel Udoetuk-Wills, who broke cell and escaped from the custody of the Takoradi Metropolitan Police Command on December 30, 2018, but was re-arrested by the police on January 4, 2019; was on April 29, this year, sentenced to an 18-month jail term for escaping from lawful arrest.
Taadi Girls Will Go Missing Forever
The outspoken man of God, in a rare show anger in May this year, stated that the three girls kidnapped several months ago in the port city of Takoradi in the Western Region, will continue to go missing.
The self-acclaimed nation prophet's remarks stems from Mr Michael Hayford's comments that early Tuesday morning on Neat FM.
I'll Slap This Man
Mr Hayford is the spokesperson for the families of the missing girls.
The man of God took umbrage at the spokesperson's threat to physically attack him (Bempah) should he fail to reveal the whereabouts of the girls.
“I will slap this man. I don’t mind going to jail because of that man [Rev Owusu Bempah]. What is he telling us (that until the President asks him to, he will not out of his own volition, disclose the whereabouts of the missing girls)?” he angrily questioned in an interview.
His remarks seemed to have incurred the wrath of Rev Owusu Bempah, who in an interview with Kwasi Aboagye on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, dared Mr Hayford to walk his talk – after invoking a dreadful curse on the family.
“The girls will continue to go missing forever,” he swore
