Veteran comedian, Kwaku Sintim-Misa [KSM] says Ghana’s economy will continue to be weak if our fundamentals are not strong enough.
In a series of tweets, KSM agreed with Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia's earlier assertion whiles in opposition that - the exchange rate will expose governments when the fundamentals are weak.
He, however, chided for attempting to "treat" as an "NDC problem instead of a NATIONAL crisis" by politicizing the issue then to win the hearts of the electorates.
“When the fundamentals are weak, the exchange rate will expose you. I agree 100% with Bawumia. His mistake was to treat this as an NDC problem instead of a NATIONAL crisis. As a nation we have WEAK economic fundamentals and the Cedi free fall will not stop now,” he tweeted.
Dr Bawumia has come under criticisms for failing to stabilise the cedi as he promised the NPP will do when the party was in opposition.

Whether people make fun or not, Dr Bawumia will always be right and the pessimists will be wrong. Ghanaians have stooped too low to accept any gibberish from NDC and its members who claim to be Ghanaians.

@wofa-tell us specifically what fundamentals have changed. When you issue foreign bonds to shore up to currency is that fundamental?
Those who are literally quoting Dr. Bawumia out of context are doing themselves no good to fail to appreciate what the good Vice President meant by what he said. The fundamentals in these regard economic indicators, which are recorded in specific periods of time, for quite often, can much be appreciated in relative terms. If so, had the fundamentals relatively improved since the change of Government? The answer is definitely, a big YES, Period!
