The Police Criminal Investigations Department [CID] says the Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC], Sammy Gyamfi was treated ‘fairly’ in their custody after his arrest on Monday.
According to the department’s Public Relations Officer [PRO], DSP Juliana Obeng, Sammy suffered no harassment but rather “we had a friendly conversation with him when he was brought to the headquarters.”
She, however, decline to confirm or deny the confiscation of Sammy Gyamfi’s phone by the department when asked on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’.
“I can’t give further information to the public, at the right time my superiors will address the issue,” she told host the host, Mac Jerry Osei Agyeman.
