The Chief Scribe of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Asiedu Nketia, has said the number of Coronavirus cases recorded in Ghana exceeds seven [7].
He claimed the Ghana Health Service is “hiding” the truth from Ghanaians due to government’s “poor” measures to fight the spread of the virus.
“For me, I don’t believe the numbers they have put out, cases recoded here is more than seven. The government must be open and transparent to the people,” he said in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’.
The Ghana Health Service confirmed another case of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the total number of recorded cases to seven.
According to the Service's website, the latest was recorded in the Greater Accra Region.
"The case-patient is a 35-year-old male, a Ghanaian citizen, who returned to Accra from France within the past 14 days," the statement said.
The statement said the latest case is also an imported one and is "being managed in isolation and "in stable condition."
This announcement comes two days after the Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service confirmed four more cases of the deadly coronavirus in the country and the other two earlier.

General Mosquito, this one de3, you hit below belt. Every sound minded person knows that the real number of the cases out there is more than seven, by virtue of the fact that the known victims had interacted with people before knowing they were infected. But what the GHS and the government is putting forward is the number of confirmed cases, people who have been tested and were positive. Unless, you mean there are proves that medically confirmed cases on record exceed what the president or the state has put forward, there are no basis for what you are doing, trying to discredit government efforts. Note that Ghanaians are now gradually becoming more patriotic than partisan and such behaviour, as you have just put up, infuriates us more than ever even if we are on your side of the political divide. Stop your political gimmicks and help Ghana.
And these are the same people asking us to pray for the nation. For opposition shall you be forever because that is where you belong to.
What kind of immaturity is this.Must everything be politicized. For the sake of people like you,I wish Rawlings' regime was present. You do not deserve to be heard.
So Asiedu Nketia and the NDC wanted to hear that we had 200 cases? Doomsayers will always remain as they are. NDC won't get what they want because God is not like NDC members who always want to hear evil about Ghana.
The statement is pure ***barred word***. Asiedu Nketia must as a matter of urgency show all the purported hiding cases. This is the reason they don't want the free SSS, because people will be enlightening. You do this propaganda and think Ghanaians will you back to power.
Mosquito is simply telling us that when NDC was in government, they were hiding lots of things from Ghanaians. Else, it is difficult to understand why for a serious issue like corona, someone will be having such thoughts. What will the government benefit from hiding the number of cases? Or you think everything in this world should be reduced to political propaganda?
why are we doing this to ourselves as a nation...Why are people bent on using this virus thing for propaganda.. God will not forsake this nation that we belong to... Its very sad...
Ok, so how may have been proven by 'opposition' test results!
