The Deputy Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Freda Prempeh has revealed that the Chief Priestess who accused and ordered the lynching of a 90-year-old woman for allegedly being a witch at Kafaba near Salaga in the East Gonja District of the Savannah Region is a wanted person.
The deceased, Madam Akua Denteh, was accused of witchcraft by a seer, who had been invited by the villagers to help them drive away their misfortunes.
Madam Freda Prempeh told NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ that the soothsayer has caused the death of two other persons alleged to be witches.
“That is what she has been doing. This is not the first, the second but third person she has done this to. That is the information gathered,” she said.
