As part of efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in the country, Anidasuo kuo, a non-governmental organization, has distributed 1000 nose masks, 200 hand sanitizers and 200 led bulbs to drivers and market women in the Amasaman Constituency in the Greater Accra Region.
The group to mark their 4th anniversary over the weekend, 22nd August, 2020 hit the principal streets of Amasaman township and its environs to create awareness about the pandemic.
The move was aimed at helping drivers, market women, hawkers and passengers to protect themselves against the virus while going about their daily activities.
Speaking after the ceremony, Founder and President of the Anidasuo Kuo, Mrs. Florence Boatemaa, advised the beneficiaries on the need to practice all precautionary measures by the health authority and government at all time to help protect one another from the infectious disease.
According to her, Anidasuo Kuo is a charity organization working towards the promotion of socio-economic inclusion and justice for the poor, needy and vulnerable groups across the country.
She called on the government, political parties and the general public to respond to their calls any time the need arises.
